Gable Steveson
Gable Steveson embodies strength and dedication both on and off the wrestling mat. He is often recognized for his impressive accomplishments, yet his talents are matched by his commitment to bettering lives.
Gable began his competitive wrestling career at Apple Valley High School where he achieved multiple state titles. As the top recruit, he remained local and continued his career as a Gopher at the University of Minnesota where he earned two NCAA championships and four Big Ten titles, with his most recent in 2025. He has the highest win percentage in the history of the program and is the only five-time All-American Gopher Wrestler. In 2022, Gable took home his second Dan Hodge Trophy, a national award that honors the top collegiate wrestler each year.
In the summer of 2021, Gable won gold at the Tokyo Olympics in the men’s freestyle 125-kilogram class. Upon winning the Championship match in a dramatic fashion with a last-second takedown, he celebrated his victory with his signature move—a backflip.
What’s next? Gable is 1-0 after his MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) debut in front of a home crowd at Mystic Lake Casino in September 2025.
Gable and Blaze
Gable shares a common goal of creating meaningful change within our communities. In the summer of 2023, Gable and Blaze partnered to collect new shoes and clothing for patients at Regions Hospital. With donations being accepted at all Blaze locations, this campaign resulted in hundreds of basic clothing items being provided to patients in crisis.
Gable has also starred in several Blaze member testimonial commercials and made appearances supporting Blaze non-profit partners.
